In addition to writing two articles per month for my school’s newspaper, as Editor-in-Chief I also edit and publish each and every staff writer’s article. Through the first semester alone (September 2022-January 2023), I have done extensive edits and published 150 articles; this total is more than the 147 articles posted total last year (September 2021-June 2022).

 

Under my leadership as Editor-in-Chief, I have been able to double our output by providing in-depth comments and suggestions for every article I have received while also giving staff writers the option of conferencing with me during Tuesday advisement times. My goal as Editor-in-Chief is to increase our output while also being able to focus on each writer in order to help them grow within the realm of journalism through constructive feedback and detailed editing.
